Pour yeast, salt, sugar, and water into a bowl. Mix until obtaining a homogeneous mixture.
Add flour into the mixture and mix with washed hands until you get a lump-free dough. Cover it and let it rest in a warm environment for at least one hour.
After the resting time, heat the oil in the pot to about 180°C. Check the oil temperature by scooping a little dough and putting it into the oil, if the dough quickly returns to the surface of the oil, then you can start frying, if not wait until the oil is hot enough.
Fry the dough by plucking out small balls with your fingers and putting them gently into the oil (don't overcrowd the pot with the dough balls). Let them cook for a few minutes by stirring from time to time.
When they are golden brown, carefully take them out of the oil. They are ready to be served.
