The main ingredients for this soup are hot pepper (scotch bonnet or habanero pepper), onions, Alligator pepper, Pebe, white pepper, Njansa, selim pepper, ginger leaves (also called Odjom leaves). The quantity of hot pepper you use for this recipe depends on you. Some people like it too hot and some people don’t. I don’t like it too hot and that is why I just used just one hot pepper for this recipe.

Alligator pepper, Pebe, Njansa, and Selim pepper are hard to blend. For this reason, I boil them first in a small pot for a few minutes to soften them before blending.

Fish Pepper Soup is so simple to cook. You just need to clean the fish ready for cooking. Then you prepare the spices for blending. After that, you just mix it all with oil, and water and cook. The cooking also doesn’t take long, in 20 minutes the soup is practically ready.
